Account Deletion Request

Prefer to do it yourself? The fastest way is to open the Yaara app → Profile → Delete Account. This does the same thing as filing a request here, and takes effect immediately.

Why this page exists

Google Play requires every app that supports account deletion to publish a public URL where anyone — even someone who has uninstalled the app — can request deletion of their account. That is what this page is for.

What deletion removes

Your profile: name, email, hashed password, preferences and intents.
Every message you have sent to any Companion and every AI-generated reply, including any memories the Companion has learned about you.
Your referral records and any pending referral bonuses.
All device push-notification tokens tied to the account.

What is retained, and why

Payment records — the plan you bought, amount, tax invoice number, and dates. Kept for up to 8 financial years as required by the Income-tax Act, 1961 and the CGST Act, 2017. These records do not include your card, UPI or bank details — those are held only by Google Play or Apple, never by Yaara.
Anonymised aggregate analytics — counts of messages, cost per model, active-user totals. These records are stripped of any identifier that could be linked back to you.
Records required by an ongoing legal or regulatory obligation (e.g. a court order or a DPDP Act investigation). These are retained only for as long as strictly required by law.

How to request deletion

Send us an email at help@yaara.app with the subject line "Delete my Yaara account". Please include:

The email address you used to sign up.
Whether you signed up with email/password or with Google.

We will confirm the request within 24 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, per the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is done.

Data-export requests

If you want a machine-readable copy of your data before deleting the account (or independently of deletion), request it via the same email and mention "Data export" in the subject line. We will send you a JSON export within 30 days.

Deletion is permanent

Once we confirm the deletion, your account cannot be restored. You are welcome to create a new Yaara account at any time — but the new account will not have access to the previous account's history, memories, subscriptions, or referral balance.
